dc.description.abstractThis document reports the results of a research study aim at establishing the pedagogical and didactic incidence of the use of the WhatsApp application in the learning of English in sixth grade students of the Eduardo Santos School with the participation of their parents. To achieve this purpose, a mixed research design was conducted, and the data is collected by means of interviews to parents and students. It was carried out with 30 students of the sixth grade in a public institution of the city of Neiva, Colombia. The results showed that the group created in WhatsApp allowed to improve the communication between parents-teacher-students; and material and activities used affected students’ academic performance. WhatsApp showed that this technological tool can be a great help in learning English.es
